I regret to inform you all that School of the Soldier has been CANCELLED DUE TO ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS.

The weather forecast for the weekend predicts low temperatures and very high probabilities of rain throughout the day for both Saturday and Sunday. Thunderstorms are being predicted for Sunday.  While we have had events with smatterings of rain before, or rain that falls overnight, having an event in a downpour is something that should be avoided.

I apologize for the short notice. I know that many of us put in a significant amount of work to prepare for this event over the past few weeks.

I look forward to our next chance to have a reenactment at Riley’s near the end of April. Please keep that on your radar and hopefully we will have more favorable conditions to work with.
