May 13 - May 15
The event will run Friday and Saturday of that weekend [May 12-14]. Sunday, the farm is generally closed to the public, but the grounds will be available for any and all who wish to conduct workshops, practice drilling, shop the vendors or pull up stakes and head home. Sunday will be reserved for reenactors. We will also be holding a Sunday service for those interested.
Riley’s Farm will be closing down our Colonial area on Saturday to ensure all of our guests come up to the barn area and visit our event.
Artillery/ Horses — Our artillery and horse friends are invited to our event. Unfortunately, there will be limitations on how many artillery pieces will be needed and the farm will be working on a powder bounty. There will be a schedule of when we are able to fire our artillery as well, but we think a demonstration and using them during the battles on Friday and Saturday will be approved.
Camping/ Amenities — Camping is available for all reenactors. We have running potable water, restroom facilities and firewood. Though because of restrictions, we are only able to have above ground fires at this time. Reenactors are invited to begin setup anytime after 4pm on Thursday (May 12th) or after 4pm on Friday for those who can’t make it on Thursday. All reenactors are invited to stay until Monday if desired.
Blue and Gray Ball — Yes! We are holding a dinner/dance in our 1880s packing shed Saturday night for our reenactor friends. Details and pricing is still being worked out, but Riley’s Los Rios is running the event.
