Riley’s Farm
November 11, 2023 - November 12, 2023
This unofficial event replaces Fort Tejon:
Greetings everyone!
We are excited to host our Civil War friends for our event Veteran’s Day weekend.
A reminder that the grounds will be open to the public both November 11th and November 12th! We are hosting both days!
Please note: While the grounds will be open on Sunday, November 12th to the general public. our store and bakery will *not* be open. It is advised that all units, groups and individuals bring and prepare food for the weekend.
November up at the farm can be on the cold side. Please bring and prepare for the cold evenings.
Safety: We all know that safety is paramount especially for what we do at reenactments. We will still have the same safety procedures that we put into place at our last event in April. I am working on other protocols for additional requests that we have received and I will let you know as soon as I get the information. Safety protocols will include numerous inspections before and after any engagements. We all want to make sure that everyone’s safety is ensured.
If everyone could be so kind as to let me know if your unit will attend for this event, that would be fabulous! Day trippers are more than welcome to attend. An estimated member count will be extremely helpful.
Setup can be done Thursday evening after 2pm for those who can make it. Friday setup is available anytime during the day and anyone interested are more than welcome to stay until Monday.
As always, we have firewood, flushing restrooms and potable water available. As a thank you, Riley’s Farm will be offering lunch on Saturday for all of our Civil War friends!
Thank you in advance to all units and individuals who support our event! It is our pleasure and privilege to host our fine Civil War Community!
As always, please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions and I will answer to the best of my ability! Feel free to forward this message to any and all of your unit or group members.
See you soon!
